BSH COVID-19 Response Specifics

We continue to gather important information and ways to connect with us during this global crisis. Click on the icons below for more.

Current Status

We support Governor Northam’s decision, which he made on March 23, to take aggressive measures to halt the community spread of COVID-19 and to prioritize saving lives. While all K-12 schools are closed throughout Virginia for the remainder of this academic year, BSH continues to serve our families. We are committed to continuing Distance Learning for Early Learners Age 2 through grade 12 throughout the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

The Blessed Sacrament Huguenot School deeply values the health and safety of our students, families, faculty and staff. As details of COVID-19 unfold, we continue to monitor information from World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Virginia Department of Health as well as work closely with the Diocese of Richmond Catholic Schools to learn about best practices and response plans. We encourage families to check these resources as well for up-to-date information on this evolving situation.

This page will be updated regularly with information about School operations; please visit frequently.

Distance Learning

The Academic Leadership Team at BSH has developed a Distance Learning Program using best practices that are in alignment with the age and developmental levels of our students. Our approach incorporates input from our faculty along with best practices for online learning from educators and schools around the world. Our primary goal is to provide our students with continuity in learning with a well-rounded and engaging experience from home. We are mindful that the circumstances are challenging, and we aim to provide the best experience possible for our students age 2 to grade 12.
