  • About the Award and Competition:
    • A third grade team from Blessed Sacrament Huguenot was selected as a Regional Winner in the 32nd annual Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision national competition that challenges students to create ideas for innovative science projects that change the future.
  • BSH Team coach: Ms. Ashley Mertz, STEAM Teacher
  • Regional Winning Third Grade Team: Mason Tovar, Kolby Nguyen and Carlos Staylor
  • Regional Winners’ Project:  “The Life Saver” 
    • The “Life Saver” is a special life-saving device that lifeguards and other rescue teams may use. The Life Saver is a special drone with life vests attached to it. I can fly to a drowning swimmer and release the life vests. The drone also gives the location of the person to the proper authorities.
