I grew up in Charlotte, NC where I attended Charlotte Latin School for K-12 and then journeyed off to Southwest Virginia to complete my undergraduate degree at Emory & Henry College. It is there that I met my future husband, Gabriel Ward, 2005 BSH alum.
After college I moved back home to Charlotte where I taught while also earning my Master’s in Education from UNC Charlotte. I now live in Charlottesville and this is my fourth year at BSH where I teach Junior and Senior Honors and AP English courses. I am also the Yearbook advisor, a Senior class advisor, and the English Department Chair.
